DESCRIPTION:New City Neighbors will be hosting this upcoming listening session for growers in Kent County on behalf of Public Agency (PA) who has partnered with Kent County Food Policy Council (KCFPC) and New Venture Advisors (NVA) to gain community input for the creation of a Food System Plan for Kent County. This plan will identify areas of priority for our community and outline recommendations for policy makers. This collaborative process has been structured to engage with stakeholders in four primary areas of interest: (1) Growth and Harvest\, (2) Processing and Distribution\, (3) Access and (4) Waste and Recovery. This session will cover Growth and Harvest. \nParticipants will have a free soup dinner prepared by New City Cafe\, and Individuals that end up participating in a focus group will be compensated for their time and expertise with a $25 Visa gift card honorarium.
