A Word from our Chefs

A Dinner to Remember is a special opportunity to showcase the incredible produce our farmers work so hard to grow. It also marks the close of a busy growing season and the beginning of the holiday season. For our youth employees on the café team, this event offers a refreshing change of pace from the hustle of our weekly pizza pop-ups. They have the chance to contribute to a fine dining experience, connect with guests in a quieter, more intimate setting, and demonstrate their skills by delivering exceptional service.

We have a new Cafe team member, welcome Adrianna! We asked her why working in the culinary field is important to her. 

“I’ve always known I wanted to work in agriculture. Although the capacity in which I’m involved has changed, I’m very thankful to have found the path that led me to New City Neighbors. Being able to combine my love of the environment and cooking is extremely fulfilling for me as a young adult. In culinary school, I wrote about how I am ‘consistent, passionate, and organized,’ making New City a perfect job for me. I am excited to bring that enthusiasm and knowledge to my first Dinner to Remember.”
