An Event Supporting Growth

Join us for our 4th annual Garden Palooza this May! Held on the first two Saturdays at our Farmhouse location, this event is a perfect way to welcome the growing season. Volunteer alongside experienced farmers, build your gardening skills, and enjoy fresh coffee and baked goods. Shop a wide selection of herb, flower, and vegetable starts to kick off your garden right.

Start your Spring off right with New City Farm!

Time: 9 AM- 3 PM

Location: 1115 Leonard St NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503

Activities: New City Farm Garden Sale, New City Café Open from 9-11 AM (Coffee & Baked Goods), free soil testing on May 2nd, and a volunteer opportunity on the farm. Most plants are $4 each or 3 for $10.

        Join us on May 2 for a free soil lead testing event! Produce Safety Technician Morgan Anderson will be available to share helpful produce safety tips and tricks, with a special focus on lead soil testing.         Solidago Landscape Design will have a variety of native plants ready to take home and plant this spring, along with educational materials on growing natives, transitioning lawn to garden beds, and the plant-insect relationships that make sustainable gardening so rewarding. Information about their design and installation services, a full list of their plant inventory, and a sign-up sheet for consultations.
