Working on the farm there are lots of surprises. The first thing that surprised me was how many flies and bugs can fly into your eyes! The first week I spent most of my time trying to swat them away with my hand but I’m learning to work around it . I learned a lot of new thing such as the different plants and the ways you’re supposed to harvest certain vegetables. You also have to always watch what you are doing while weeding in the tunnels or you might end up picking up a toad or two! Like I said, coming to the farm there is a lot to learn, but it really is easy to grasp on to. Before coming here I never even heard of rainbow chard or even kohlrabi. All in all, I love working on the farm. At first it was kind of hard and I became a little sore but you work your way into it about the second week.
