Hello, my name is Yadira I am fourteen years old and a sophomore at City High Middle School. This summer my whole family and I went to Guatemala to visit extended family, so I just recently started working at the farm about three weeks ago. On the farm, I enjoy harvesting carrots and setting up the CSA share, but one thing I really dislike on the farm is weeding.There so many things I learned this year including, how to harvest a carrot, which is my favorite vegetable. Also, I learned how to be wise and responsible with my money. I am so thankful that I was hired by New City Neighbors. This job also made think about new opportunities including what I want to do after high school. I think I would like to go to college and pursue a career in pharmacology.
