We are thrilled to introduce to you our new Program Director, Holly Hetherington! Holly began working with us this week and we are getting things ready for New City Afterschool to begin on Tuesday, October 18th. You can let Holly know if you’d like to register your child, join us as a volunteer, or apply to be on our high school staff. But first, take a minute to get to know Holly below:
I am so pleased to join New City Neighbors as the Program Director. I am approaching the job with a background in education and professional experience in youth and children’s programming. Very recently I moved back to the Grand Rapids area and into the Creston neighborhood from the Upper Peninsula where I worked at InterVarsity’s Cedar Campus as the Program and Marketing Manager. I’m glad to be back in the area, and I’m even more eager to get involved in this neighborhood. NCN caught my attention from the start because I share so many of the organization’s passions including community renewal, discipleship, and racial reconciliation. I’m excited for the opportunities ahead. I can’t wait to begin investing in children and high school leaders. I also look forward to meeting all those who are investing here. – Holly
